A long standing inter-clan conflict and hostility lasting about 45 years ,between two sub-clans has finally been resolved.The sub-clans were Abdi Mohamud sub-clan of Dhulbahante clan of Sool Region and Reer Salah sub-clan of Warsangali Clan of Sanaag region.

The 45 years hostility between the two sub-clans came to an end after mediation meeting by intellectuals, clan elders and religious elders from the two sub-clans, morally supported by the local civil society and facilitated and funded by DRC.

The mediation duration lasted about 3 weeks and was held in Hingalool district of Sanaag region. The two sub-clans agreement were graced by the presence of prominent clan elders, whereas Garaad Saleman of Dhulbahante clan and Garaad Abdulahi Ali idd of Warsangali clan.
