The Resource Based Conflicts (RBC) Management Network is a coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) that seeks to support peace building and conflict prevention (PB&CP) efforts in the Horn and East Africa region (HEA) by partnering with like-minded entities and seeking innovative strategies for equipping CSOs with the right skills and tools to be able to make a difference in the conflict prone areas of the region. A section of CSOs from Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea and Sudan have collectively set up a regional network as a strategy for building synergies towards a coordinated approach for tackling regional conflicts as well as managing the impacts of existing Resource Based Conflicts (RBCs) in the HEA. |

Proposed Law to Bring Together Land Matters |

Those opposed to the clause on land as contained in the proposed constitution have been accused of not speaking for the public good and being keen to protect their vested interests. Kenya Land Alliance national coordinator Odenda Lumumba said the proposed constitution placed the management of public land in the hands of the National Land Commission, which will help address issues of uncoordinated administration and management.
